Hi there!
I’m Marie and I love bringing quilts to life!

I grew up in Oregon, the 6th of 7 kids….as you can imagine, my mother had to become quite a seamstress. At the age of 6, needle in hand, I was at my mother’s side helping her create school clothes, tents, backpacks, and eventually quilts.
Like so many, learning to quilt brought me closer to my mom and pretty soon, we were whipping through our WIPs with a longarm in the back of my husband's karate studio in Gresham. And slowly but surely I started developing a dedicated group of clientele asking for quilting services.
Since starting Marie’s Custom Quilting I have become not only an award-winning quilter, I’ve helped other artists elevate their entries in quilting shows.
This also led me to become a best-selling author!
Quilting really is my happy place. I am so glad that we share this love of expressing ourselves through fabric.
