Quilting on Silk - Turn Down Volume if you are at work!

I bought a bolt of cream colored Silk Radience a year or so back. I wanted to create several silk pieces - one of which would be a hand dyed landscape. The first task was to dye the fabric. I took a great class with a fellow quilter and longarm business owner Susan Ainsworth Smith and her daughter Camille. I decided on a blue sky, geen trees and a purple field of flowers as my color themes. Then like a lot of my more challenging projects the fabric went on a shelf for a year. I was waiting for just the right inspiration… I started a class with Bethanne Nemesh and wanted a nice peice of fabric to create with. The result is what you see here. The sky is little radiant boxes. The trees are leaves. My buterfly has a cool tail and is coming up out of a filed of flowers. Would I do anythiing diferent next time? No. I like it the way it is! Can I get fancier with more embelishments, techniques, etc.? For sure!
